Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Linglet, a language-learning service operated by Linglet ("Linglet", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms.

The service

Linglet helps you learn a language from daily stories, with practice, audio, and AI-assisted conversation and writing feedback. Content is generated and adapted automatically and is provided for learning purposes; it may occasionally contain errors and should not be relied upon as professional translation or advice.

Your account

You must provide accurate information and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use Linglet. Don't misuse the service — including attempting to disrupt it, access it in unauthorized ways, scrape it, or use it to generate unlawful or abusive content.

Subscriptions and payments

• Linglet offers a free tier and a paid subscription ("Plus"). New accounts include a free trial period; after it ends, premium features require an active subscription.
• Subscriptions purchased on the web are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account; access continues until the end of the paid period.
• If you subscribe through the Apple App Store, billing, renewals, and refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's terms, and are managed in your Apple account settings.
• Prices may change; we'll give notice of changes to recurring prices before they take effect.

Content and intellectual property

Stories are original adaptations we generate from publicly available news and public-domain works; the Linglet app, its design, and generated content are owned by us or our licensors. You may use them for personal, non-commercial learning. Words and notes you save are yours; by submitting text to the service you grant us the limited right to process it to provide features to you.

Cancellation and deletion

You can stop using Linglet at any time and delete your account and data from your account page. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Linglet is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll update the date above and, for material changes, notify you. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
